Required on any food sold as 'orgânico' in Brazil. The international umbrella body for the organic movement. Does NOT
  • Same standard as the EU Leaf — not stricter.
  • OPAC (peer-review) certified products are valid in Brazil but typically not accepted for export — exporters need third-party (e.g. IBD).
  • Does NOT certify products directly — only certifiers. Look for the underlying national / private mark on the package.
  • Mutual recognition with the US, EU, and Canada applies to specific product categories — check each agreement before importing.
