Why we charge at all.
Every other "organic food" site you've seen is either selling ads, selling products, or selling affiliate links. That's not an attack — it's just how the internet works by default. But it means what they write is not what you'd write.
A small monthly fee from real readers is the only way to keep a site like this honest. No supermarket pays us to say nice things about their organic range. No certifier pays us to call their label the best. If you want to know whether an expensive label is actually worth it, you need someone with nothing to gain from lying to you.
So: Reader is free and always will be, Member is the price of one fancy coffee a month, and VIP is for people who want the whole thing. All three keep us independent.
