Mandatory on any product sold as '有机' (organic) in mainland China. The East African regional organic mark, under the East Africa Organic Products Standard (EAOPS). Used across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi. Administered through Participatory Guarantee Systems coordinated by KOAN (Kenya Organic Agriculture Network).New Zealand's largest organic certifier. Recognised by the EU, US, and Japan under their respective import-equivalence regimes.Vottunarstofan Tún is Iceland's only accredited organic certifier. Does NOT
  • Imported organic foods must be re-certified under the Chinese standard — overseas certifications alone are not accepted for the 有机 label.
  • PGS-based — the inspection model is community peer-review rather than third-party. Strong for domestic markets, less recognised by the EU/USA than third-party schemes.
  • New Zealand has no single legally-mandated 'organic' definition — voluntary certification is the norm.
  • There aren't many Tún-certified operations (~120–160) — coverage in the Icelandic market is narrower than in the EU mainland.
