The mark must appear on any food sold as 'organic' (有機 or オーガニック) in Japan.Denmark's national organic mark, owned by the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration. Does NOT
  • Ecocert is the certifier, not the standard — the actual rules come from whichever organic regulation the product is certified under.
  • Mutual recognition with the US, EU, and Canada applies to specific product categories — check each agreement before importing.
  • Outside Denmark, retailers usually rely on the EU Leaf rather than the Ø.
  • Doesn't cover non-textile components (zips, buttons, prints) beyond the chemical-restriction list.
