What it meansThe European Commission's voluntary environmental label. Covers cleaning products, paper, textiles, electronics, accommodation services. Built on top of USDA Organic; adds soil health, animal welfare, and social fairness pillars.France's national organic mark, owned by the Ministry of Agriculture. Does NOT
  • Doesn't apply to food. Doesn't mean organic.
  • Doesn't cover non-textile components (zips, buttons, prints) beyond the chemical-restriction list.
  • Newer label (2018+) — supply still limited, mostly US brands.
  • Same standard as the EU Leaf — AB is the brand consumers recognise, not a stricter rule.
