What it meansIndia's national organic mark under the National Programme for Organic Production. Standards are stricter than the UK government's baseline (which still mirrors EU 2018/848 post-Brexit). Does NOT
  • Domestic-only sales can also use FSSAI's 'Jaivik Bharat' mark — if you see only 'Jaivik Bharat' without 'India Organic', the supply chain may be PGS-India rather than NPOP-accredited.
  • Provincial sales-only operations are not legally required to carry it (though many do voluntarily).
  • Logo is trademarked — not a free-licence mark.
  • Doesn't mean organic — many Fairtrade products are conventionally grown. A separate Fairtrade-Organic dual certification exists.
