What it means	Finland's national organic 'Sun Mark' (Aurinkomerkki). Operated by the Finnish Food Authority. In practice most Finnish organic packaging carries both Luomu and the EU Leaf — they certify to the same baseline.	Argentina's national organic mark under SENASA (National Food Safety and Quality Service). Implemented as a label in December 2012 under Law 25.127 (1999).	The East African regional organic mark, under the East Africa Organic Products Standard (EAOPS). Used across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, and Burundi. Administered through Participatory Guarantee Systems coordinated by KOAN (Kenya Organic Agriculture Network).	Mexico's national organic mark, administered by SENASICA under the Ley de Productos Orgánicos (LPO).

Guarantees	EU baseline organic (Finnish supply chains end-to-end). Annual on-site inspection by the Finnish Food Authority.	Compliance with Argentine Law 25.127. Annual on-site inspection by SENASA-accredited certifier. Recognised as equivalent to EU + USDA organic under bilateral agreements.	Compliance with the East Africa Organic Products Standard (EAOPS). Peer-review inspection via Participatory Guarantee Systems (PGS). Regional cross-recognition across the five East African Community member states.	≥95% organic ingredients per LPO. Annual on-site inspection by SENASICA-accredited certifier.
Does NOT	The Sun Mark is awarded only to fully Finnish supply chains — imports use the EU Leaf alone.	Domestic recognition only — exports use the buyer's national mark (USDA, EU Leaf) under equivalence.	PGS-based — the inspection model is community peer-review rather than third-party. Strong for domestic markets, less recognised by the EU/USA than third-party schemes.	USDA equivalence is granted product-by-product, not blanket.
