Built on top of USDA Organic; adds soil health, animal welfare, and social fairness pillars.Japan's national organic standard under the Japanese Agricultural Standard system. The mark must appear on any food sold as 'organic' (有機 or オーガニック) in Japan. The UK's largest organic certifier. Does NOT
  • Newer label (2018+) — supply still limited, mostly US brands.
  • Mutual recognition with the US, EU, and Canada applies to specific product categories — check each agreement before importing.
  • Logo is trademarked — not a free-licence mark.
  • Australia has multiple competing organic certifiers — NASAA is one of seven, not the dominant national mark (that's ACO).
